Firstly, product quality. Sony has hardly ever failed to deliver on what it promises to the users when speaking of quality. Secondly, great service. If, for some reason, the product has quality issues, the service provided by Sony against the same is always top-notch.

You might be wondering if Sony has been able to deliver its usual quality standards with the Sony WH-1000XM3 Bluetooth Headphones? Well, that’s exactly what we’re here to help you find out. We tested the WH-1000XM3 and the results were unsurprisingly positive. Therefore, we present to you the Sony WH-1000XM3 review, with everything you need to know before you press the ‘Buy Now’ button.

Unboxing the Sony WH-1000XM3

The Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones come with a usual set of box contents. The headphones come with a USB Type-C cable for charging. The Type C cable ensures a quick and proper charge to the headphones. The box also has the headphones’ 3.5 mm cable, used for wired usage in case of the battery of the headphones is low.

Lastly, the Sony WH-1000XM3 comes with a hard carry case. Of course, that means that the WH-1000XM3 are foldable headphones, making them easy to carry on the go.

Design, Structure and Quality

The Sony WH-1000XM3, much-like their predecessor the Sony WH-1000XM2, are lightweight yet built to withstand the harshest physical and climatic conditions. However, unlike the WH-1000XM2’s plastic material covering, the WH-1000XM3 comes with a soft-touch material on top of its ear cups.

These headphones have great padding to ensure utmost comfort to the ears of their users. Also, as mentioned above, the headphones are foldable, making them easy to carry around in the hard carry case.

Sony has made sure that they provide their customers with fresh and top of the line technology with the WH-1000XM3 headphones, and this is how. They come with touch controls that can be used by swiping your fingers on top of your right ear cup’s covering material.

These touch controls allow the users to have a volume control, music control (play, pause, next, back, etc.) and hands-free calling. Also, Sony has given a touch button for the users to enable the in-built voice assistant. Yes, it’s Alexa. The WH-1000XM3 comes with built-in ‘Alexa’ for you to use as your voice assistant, with the simple touch of a button.

In addition to the touch technology, Sony has also given the WH-1000XM3 the “Quick Attention Mode.” It allows a user to turn down the music by simply placing their hand to cover the right ear cup, making a quick conversation easier than going through the whole hassle of turning down the volume and asking the other person, “Were you saying something?”

Sound Quality

The make or break factor of any pair of headphones is the sound quality. Without the right sound, even the most comfortable headphones are deemed a failure. The WH-1000XM3 haven’t failed to deliver here either.

Their 40 mm drivers with LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymers) diaphragms are promised to produce high-definition sound quality, giving the users the crispiest of treble and the heaviest of bass, striking a perfect balance between the highs, mids and lows.

Also, the WH-1000XM3 prides itself on having the most advanced noise cancellation technology with its proprietary ‘QN1 Noise Cancellation Processor.’ The ear cups of the headphones are fitted with two wide microphones, which help isolate noises in the environment, ensuring not only a good music experience but also better phone call quality.

The headphones also have an “Adaptive Sound Control” feature which allows you to limit the level of noise isolation! But, not everyone feels that this feature is a necessity and it adds to the product’s price unnecessarily!
